Connecting to cloud manager through proxy

To run a schedule on the cloud, the workbench must connect to HCL OneTest™ Performance Cloud Manager. If the workbench is installed behind a firewall, use a proxy computer that is connected to the workbench computer as well as has access to the Internet.

Before you begin

Ensure that the proxy computer is connected to the workbench computer and has access to the Internet.

Procedure

  1. In HCL OneTest Performance, click Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections.
  2. From Active Provider, select Manual and edit the HTTPS entry.
  3. Specify the host name and port number of the proxy computer.
  4. If the proxy computer requires authentication, select the Requires Authentication check box and specify the login credentials.
    Network Connections
  5. If the proxy computer requires NTLM or NTLMv2 authentication, specify the domain name of the user and the host name of the workbench computer in the eclipse.ini file before starting the product.
    -Dhttps.proxyDomain=DomainName
    -Dhttps.proxyWorkstation=RPTHostName
  6. During the cloud run a browser inside the workbench is used to display reports. This browser session requires authentication to reach the reports, so, the proxy computer must be able to pass through this authentication. The browser in workbench picks up its proxy settings from the system's proxy setting, which are also the settings that Internet Explorer uses. If Internet Explorer is not already configured to use your proxy computer, in Internet Explorer click Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings and specify the host name and port number of the proxy computer.
